Cutting Power Plant Pollution

Maine has taken a number of steps to cut global warming pollution, like setting global warming tailpipe standards and promoting renewable energy. Now, the state is implementing the RGGI program to cut power plants’ contribution.

Letter	Dear Members of the BEP, Please support the rules of chapter 156 to implement the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) in order to reduce global warming pollution from power plants ten percent by 2019. I think that the state should not be able to waive the program, as is suggested in chapter 157, since global warming is too important an issue not to tackle. Sincerely,
